Fault Code Readers and Engine Management
All modern vehicles have a computer that controls the engine and transmission. With constant growing demands for fuel economy, low emissions without loss of power, cars today are fitted with much more electronics.
When there is a problem with the vehicle the on-board computer matches the trouble code and the 'check engine' or 'service due' light will appear. To properly diagnose our technicans hook the computer to a scanner for the relevant fault codes, it then gives us the information on where we have to look and we then do the rest.
Recode Keys, Alarms and Immobilisers
An additional service that we offer at Autotec Workshop is to recode keys for vehicles. We also fit and repair alarms and immobilisers at our workshop in New Malden, Surrey.
